1999-2008: Early Years
Rates fluctuated between 2-5%, peaking at 5.4% in 2008.
2008-2015: Crisis Era
Post-financial crisis, rates dropped to around 1% during the Eurozone debt crisis.
2015-2022: Negative Rates
Euribor went negative for the first time. The 3-month rate reached -0.5%.
2022-Present: The Rise
ECB rate hikes pushed Euribor from negative to over 4% by late 2023, stabilizing around 2-3% as inflation moderates.
